excellent game last night, tons of fun. great having dave back in the fold, if only for a week. i only wish i could have gotten anything going, almost every step i took was a misstep last night and i still finished deep, could have been way better. long game but totally worth it, congrats to the top spots!

i also hate getting so lucky so many different times and not being able to do anything with it, feels like a waste of hot cards. i kept getting low, doubling through, getting low... couldn't get anything going. i was up to like 6k at one point when we were 400/800 then that dropped to just under 4 after playing a small hand and losing, pushed my AKo and ran into nicola's JJ, doubled that remaining 700whatever up but couldn't regain a foothold after that, but that was after catching a few tremendous cards to keep me alive early, then making some key preflop hands at good spots, and still, nothing... urrrrgh. least the yanks won! i'll take that trade any day.

Poker is a funny game. If my KK holds up against Lou's straight draw, I have enough chips not to go all in with AQ when I did... Gotta have many things go in your favor to win.

Terry, I know what you mean about wasting good hands. 'Cause then lady luck looks back at you with a sour, disappointed look. You really don't wanna mess with her.

I was proud of my performance. Made some big
laydowns. Won some big pots early. Tightened
up at the last table.
I couldn't sleep though thinking of one big hand where
I folded the best hand at showdown. Hard to believe
but it's a learning process and I'm pretty sure it won't
happen again. Gotta stay more focused and stop downing
so many beers.

At least now I'm only 3 points away from the top 10.
I'm gonna take next week off. "win all the moneis!"
